"Weinerman Tested, Cunningham Approved" is the forty-seventh episode of the first season of Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. It premiered on January 25, 2014.

Synopsis[]

Due to his ability to break McFist products, Howard becomes a product tester at McFist Industries and inadvertently helps Viceroy create an indestructible ninja-seeking robot.

Plot[]

The scenes opens with Heidi, live webcasting from Speakman Field, detailing the eventual crash landing of Lloyd Doppler, Norrisiville's first weather satellite from orbit. Randy and Howard are ecstatic for the event, even more so they intend to witness the crash from their McPeepers, a pair of binoculars by McFist Industries.

As Howard is about to hold the McPeepers, Randy is concerned with letting Howard hold the binoculars as it is proven in the following series of quick scenes that Howard breaks every McFist products that he has ever owned. This annoys Howard, and he swipe the McPeepers from Randy to prove him wrong, but only ends up achieving the opposite as it breaks almost immediately in his hands. In need of a solution, Howard suggests Randy to find an answer inside the NinjaNomicon. Where inside Randy is given the lesson;

"A problem at a distance, may be a solution up close."

Taking the nomicon's advice, he takes a closer inspection of the broken McPeepers as finds a label, that guarantees that its indestructible and realises how they can receive a new pair.

Meanwhile, inside McFist's office, the billionaire berate Viceroy for creating an armadillo robot which is humiliating itself rather then being intimating, Viceroy turns it around reminding McFist how he had previously demanded for a robot to be exactly similar to a real armadillo, which causes McFist to remember how these animals possess terrible eyesight. At that moment, they are informed about how two boys broke their McPeepers and wished for a replacement, to surprises Viceroy as he designed specifically not to break under any circumstances.

Wanting to confirm for himself, he confronting Randy and Howard in the reception room and is shocked when they present him with the broken piece of the McPeepers. Viceroy tries to prove the indestructiblity of his invention by attempting to smash another pair, with a blow from a sledgehammer, and slamming it against the floor. Randy catches it as it bounces around, and through them sees the armoredillo reeking havoc at the field, forcing Randy to leave Howard with Viceroy. Just as Viceroy affirms its durability, Howard once again breaks it, the second he touches it. Enraged, Viceroy brings Howard into his lab to conduct some tests to find out more.

At Speakman Field, Randy battles the robot and quickly defeats it by stabbing it, in its unprotected belly. The realisation then began to dawn on him as realises that he had left Howard unguarded in the headquarters of his archenemy and rushes to his aid.

At Viceroy's lab, the scientists is marveled by Howard's ability to accidently find the fatel flaw in every McFist products. Such as over-oxidizing the metal plating on the McFrying pan and under-oxidizing the McStove's plating. McFist at first doesn't share in Viceroy's enthusiasm, until he tells him how this can be useful against the Ninja. Once Randy returns to the reception room, he assumes the worse but is proven wrong as Howard steps out of the elevator unharmed along with Viceroy and a new pair of McPeepers, now a guaranteed indestructible.

Excited for the smashdown, they both hastily exit the building, only to see buses being launched in the air. Randy, Ninja outs, much to Howard's dismay, and confronts the new robot, which appears to be made completely from McFist products. The Ninja battles the robot but is shocked to learn that none of his attacks have an effect on the robot. Howard watches the fight through his McPeepers and immediately recognises that the products used for the robot are one he had tested and are indestructible. Howard quickly goes to his side to inform him this information.

Randy is then quickly deduces the meaning of the lesson, and plans to use the falling weather satellite and crash it on top of the robot. Howard helps to jam the toilet feet of the robot which causes high pressure water to escape from the feet causing it to fly, Randy then uses his scarf to steer the robot towards the crash site. The satellite then comes crashing down on the robot just seconds before it stomps the Ninja. The audience erupts into cheers at the sight, and Randy smokebombs away.

The episode then ends with McFist having a tantrum and throwing items around the lab, but all the items simply bounce off the walls after having been made actually indestructible by Viceroy.

Trivia[]

  • The title is based on the advertising slogan of KiX cereal, "Kid Tested, Mother Approved," often parodied in pop culture by substituting other nouns for "kid" and "mother."
  • The weather satellite is named after Lloyd Dobler, a fictional character in the 1989 movie, Say Anything….
  • Randy wears his hood while he's at McFist Industries, which is quite a while in comparison to his brief hood-wearing moments in "McFists of Fury" and "Sorcerer in Love".
  • The Creep appears as a window washer near whom Randy as the Ninja lands.
  • There is a painting in Howard's house of the place where Viceroy had vacationed at the end of "Monster Dump".
  • When Howard uses the McStove, it makes a strange noise which is actually used in the obscure Gamecube game Kirby Air Ride when the rides boost.
  • Running Gag: Characters (i.e. Randy and Viceroy) proposing a plan, expecting the other character (i.e. Howard and McFist), who expects them to give them the answer, to know what is going to happen next.
