Tyler is the decapitated head of a gargoyle statue that Julian owns as a therapeutic companion. He first appeared in Julian's Birthday Surprise and later Mastermind of Disastermind, and eventually Ball's Well That Friends Well.
Description[]
Tyler was one of the two gargoyle statues from the Magic Funporium that were brought to life by Julian, when he was possessed by the a chaos pearl. They stayed atop two pillars on opposite ends of the stage. They both had silver and gray colour scheme. When brought to life, they adopted a dark green colour scheme an bright red eyes, and reverted back to their normal colour when they were no longer filled with magic.
History[]
During the events of the episode "Julian's Birthday Surprise", Julian was possessed by one of the Chaos Pearls. He used its dark magic to bring both gargoyles statues to life and had them attack his birthday guests. After the gargoyles were defeated by the Ninja, and one of them beheaded (Tyler), Howard secretly placed the head into Randy's bag (which previously held the orb) and threw it into the Land of Shadows, making possessed Julian believe that the orb was still inside the bag, and jumped into the portal. Given the advantage, Randy won the fight and save good Julian, who was still clutching onto the bag that was containing Tyler, from falling to the other dimension, unaware of the splitting of the two halves of Julian.
When good Julian was trapped in the Land of Shadows and interrogated by Evil Julian, he noticed the then yet to nickname gargoyle head.
After an indeterminate amount of time , Julian had already given Tyler its nickname and used Tyler as a puppet and companion to speak on its own behalf and likely maintain his sanity.
During the series finale, Julian stated that Tyler knew the direction to a portal to escape the Land of Shadows. It remains unclear if it was just Julian himself that knew that information and just pretended that Tyler was alive and had the directions, or if Tyler is in fact alive with knowledge of the Land of Shadows. Julian would also bring Tyler back to Earth with him afterwards.
