"Randy Cunningham...ordinary high school student...chosen to be next in a long line of silent and deadly warriors. With his true identity hidden behind a mask, he will defend the defenseless and battle evil in all its forms.
Hero. Fighter. Freshman. He is...Randy Cunningham, 9th Grade Ninja!"
The Animated Pilot is the adjusted and animated version of Randy Cunningham The pitch pilot for Disney Television Animations.
Differences[]
- Randy Cunningham originally had brown hair. His regular outfit initially consisted of a blue short-sleeved shirt over a white long-sleeved shirt, grayish-black jeans, grayish-brown belt and black shoes.
- Howard Weinerman originally had dark chestnut brown hair. His regular outfit initially consisted of a brown shirt with light brown lines, orange vest, blue jeans and black shoes.
- There was an extra scene of exposition given to the Ninjas. Also, the introductory scene of Randy going into his bedroom's basement to read the Nomicon was completely altered to Randy getting out of the boys' washroom to transform secretly on the school's roof when Bucky was being bullied by Bash at the parking lot.
- Bucky Hensletter originally played the clarinet instead of the triangle, even as a member of the Marching Band.
- Bash Johnson was shown to have black hair and a full-blown jock. He also had a full fight scene with Randy as the Ninja. In fact, he also declared how much he is a Ninja hater. He also had a gang of rugby players as his posse.
- Mick was shown to have blonde hair.
- There was an extra scene Randy had with Heidi Weinerman interacting after he as the Ninja first saved Bucky. She was the one who asked him out on a dance at homecoming as her dance partner, since she admired the Ninja so much.
- By this point of development, Heidi was already established to be Howard's older sister.
- There was an extra scene of Randy and Howard interacting. Howard could be seen playing a guitar hero rhythm arcade game when he and Randy were talking about their opposing opinions on Heidi.
- Deputy Mayor Kranski was originally a female secretary that accompanied McFist (then called The Judge) and Viceroy, who embodied the "dumb blonde" trope. She is likely the prototype of Marci McFist.
- Tyranobot was initially given more context on how it would be at risk of being sold if the Ninja kept foiling Crime Inc's schemes.
- The Smoke Bombs had green smoke instead of red.
- The school's theme color was green instead of blue.
- The arcade both Randy and Howard frequented was called Teen World, before it was later changed to Greg's Game Hole during production.
- Julian was a punk/emo instead of a Goth.
- Flute Girl had ginger hair in two braids tied with yellow bows, and black round glasses.
