Le Béret was a historical French folk hero.
Description[]
Most of his backstory is unknown; however, what is known, is that during medieval France, an unnamed French youth fought for justice while disguised as a masked vigilant known as 'Le Béret'. He fought against an unfair tax after a corrupt principal had imposed a tax on plume, (a feather, usually worn as a decoration on top of a headdress). He fought for his cause until eventually winning, in what came to be known as the "Feather Rebellion of 1793."
Appearance[]
He is depicted as having long hair, wearing medieval France garments, including a cape and a mask with an elongated beak, and sporting a feathered béret, which was his most prominent feature.
History[]
He was the subject of Debbie Kang's history report in, "Let Them Eat Cake Fries", which inspired several students to protest against what they had believed to be a ban on cake fries, after Principal Slimovitz stated that they were going to remove the food item from the menu.
Later in the same episode, Howard dressed up and impersonated as Le Béret to fight for the same cause as his fellow classmates, complete with a Clamp Gun and Glider that he stole from McFist Industries using his dad's ID badge to clamp Gene Levine and then hijack the blimp. Howard took this mission upon himself, as he actually remembered the negative results of involving the Ninja in changing snack policy in" All the Juice That's Fish to Swim".
Trivia[]
- It is implied in the episode that Le Béret may have been a school student in France.
- Ironically, Le Béret decided to use feathers to attack the principal, which was the very object being taxed.
