Synopsis[]

Insulted that Howard doesn’t think he’s a good liar, Randy goes to extreme lengths to prove his friend wrong and puts both of them in grave danger.

Plot[]

The episode opens on the PJ McFlubbuster's resturant with the staff singing a happy birthday song to Howard while serving him a free sunday vegan cake. Randy criticizes Howard for lying how his birthday to get free cake, and says that he would never lie for no reason. Howard then fires back by calling him a 'truth bag' who always tells the truth can is terrible lier, which Randy strongly denies, saying that he's a great liar. Howard tries to make Randy prove it by making him lie to the staff that its his birthday and order the free sunday cake. Which Randy tries but is unsuccessful when a staff correctly assume that he was lying and asked him to tell what the current date is, which Randy does not know.

The staff worker then stamp a sticker on his forehead that says, today isn't his birthday, before criticizes him and showering him with confetti as he as walks away. Howard begins to gloat after being proved right, and Randy finally realises that he is infact a terrible lier. He then goes into the Nomicon in hopes of finding an answer to his problem. There inside a hall of all of the Ninja abilities, a Nomicon samurai appears holding a duel-ended bladed weapon and preforms a sword dance and gives the lesson.

"Deception is a Blade That Cuts Both Ways."

Before leaving the weapon and disappearing, Randy misinterprets the lesson and believes that the weapon left behind is the blade of deception and can give him the ability to lie. Once he exits the Nomicon, he immediately begins to lie saying that fudge has been outlawed in Norrisville, and that there is fudge factory at the edge of town which is abandoned which Howard doesn't believe him, but Randy insist that he's telling the truth. Howard then orders Randy to take him there to prove that he's telling the truth, even though there is no factory.

The scene then shifts to another booth where McFist and Viceroy are both having the free sunday cake. While Viceroy celebrate for getting free cake when it's not his birthday, to which McFist yells that he is aware. He then apologise and informs Viceroy that he's in a bad mood because his mother in law, Ruth is coming to Norrisville for a visit, implying that both of them don't get along. He is also worried that Ruth may find all the Ninja destroying weapons and realise that he's trying to destroy the Ninja which she would then reveal to everyone in her blog. Thus, he needs a place to hide all the weapons which Viceroy replied that, do so they would need a building the size of three airplane hangers.

At that moment Randy and Howard unknowingly passes by McFist and Viceroy's booth, with Howard asking how large is the abandoned fudge factory, to which Randy lied that it about the size saying its as large as three airplane hangers. As the boys walk away McFist hears about the fudge factory and asks why not hide the weapons there, which Viceroy tells him that such a factory doesn't exist.

The scene changes back to the boys on the bus, on their way to the edge of town to see this fudge factory, which Howard still doubts that it exits. He then tries to poke holes in Randy's made up history of fudge in Norrisville, but Randy keeps lying and filling in the gaps in the story. When he succeeds in defending his lie, he tells Howard that they don't need now go to the edge of town, but Howard relents and insist that they are going. Riding besides them is McFist and Viceroy in their own truck that is carrying all their ninja destroying, they arrive at the edge of town first and finds, (for obvious reasons) no fudge factory. McFist then orders Viceroy to make one. Some time later the boys finally arrive that the edge of town and are surprise to see a real abandoned fudge factory. This leaves Randy confused, while Howard now fully believes Randy's lie.

Randy tries to come clean that he was lying this whole time but Howard misunderstood him by meaning that Randy was lying by telling the truth. Randy tries to correct him, but Howard now doesn't believe anything he says and also tries to get into the factory. While Randy tries to make sense of what is happening, at that moment McFist's limo drives up the factory. Randy hides behind a sign while McFist and Viceroy exit out of the vehicle, during their conversation, Randy realises that the factory is fake an is filled with ninja destroying weapons, which Howard has unknowingly entered.

Randy dons the suit and breaks in to factory to locate and save Howard, upon entering the building he finds Howard hanging upside down by his foot by a crane. Randy tries to get him out of the trap, and while he managed to release Howard from the trap and place him in a safer position, the Ninja finds his leg also trapped by the cane, now dangling above the floor. At that moment Viceroy and McFist walk in the building, at first unaware of the Ninja hanging above them, until a device that McFist is holding starts beeping, Viceroy informs him that he's holding a ninja detection device which alerts when the Ninja is nearby.

They then notice the Ninja hanging above them, McFist orders all the robots to attack the Ninja, most fail to do so, as the Ninja managed to escape the crane and start destroying the robots at first seems to be succeeding as he cuts through most of the familiar robots previously seen in past episodes. However, he is outnumbered the massive amount of robo-apes that all immediately jump on him, and begin piling on top of him. This results in the Ninja temporarily being knocked unconscious an allowing him to be weaken and captured.

Viceroy then pushes a button which opens up a lot with large spinning fan inside which McFist intents to throw the Ninja in. At that moment Marci and her mother, Ruth enter the building, viceroy immediately closed the pit to hide their secret as villains. McFist asks how they managed to find them in a factory that no one knows about, which Ruth explains that they found it through Viceroy being internet finds with Ruth and that he constantly kept sending her pictures of his location. Ruth then starts asking what is happening, McFist tries to lie about the situation, at that moment Randy then finally understands the Nomicon's lesson that it was telling him not to lie. The Ninja then tries to tell Ruth the truth that McFist is an evil villain that is trying to destroy the Ninja, however, Ruth doesn't believe him and laughs saying that McFist is too dumb to be an evil villain, when he cannot even keep a fudge factory open. She then orders McFist to release the Ninja and inform that they have a reservation at PJ McFlubbuster's and that she knows how to get free food, imply that she knows about their birthday rule and is planning to lie to get the sunday cake.

The rest then leave the building, with McFist complaining through it. The Ninja feels frustrated that Ruth didn't believe him and smoke bombs away. Towards the ending, both Howard and Randy wait at a bus stop for take back to the city, with Randy breaking the fourth wall telling the camera the valuable lesson he learnt about lying, that is you lie you might end up in a warehouse filled with dangerous robots and weapons trying to destroy you. As the bus arrive at the bus stop, as the boys enter, Howard's stomach starts grumbling and he release a horrible odorous fart inside the bus as the door closes behind him and Randy trapped inside the bus forced to smell it, as the episode ends.
