It is a local restaurant shack located some where in the Norrisville Swamp.
Description[]
It is built to resemble a very large wooden barrel, in the middle of the swamp, above the water. A large neon sign outlining the image of a crocodilian is hung up on the building; on the inside, it is furnished like a rustic restaurant with another picnic tables and benches, and a signboard with the word "SHACK" is hung inside. The shack serves foods like all-you-can-eat crawdads (which McFist confuses with lobsters) in a bucket and hush puppies. As the shack is on the water, it is accessible only via boat.
Crocodilians appear to be swimming around The Shack.
History[]
McFist and Viceroy visit the shack in the episode "Bring Me the Head of Ranginald Bagel!" to meet Catfish Booray, who has information on the Ninja's secret identity, which Catfish traded for the latest McFist Pad. Catfish's revelation is incorrect, however, since the Ninja, instead of giving his true name, told Booray his name was "Ranginald Bagel."
Trivia[]
- The shack is not referred to by name in the episode; however, since the image of a crocodilian is displayed on the building and the word "SHACK" appears below, fans customarily refer to it as the "Crocodile Shack."
- This name may be a misnomer: since Catfish Booray (like a number of characters voiced by Jim Cummings) speaks with a distinct Cajun accent, which would seem to hint that he hails from Louisiana; however, American crocodiles are found almost exclusively in southern Florida. Moreover, when Catfish had transforms into a monster in "Swampy Seconds," Randy strongly implies that he is part-alligator. This suggests that the reptiles seen around the Shack may be alligators and the eatery itself might be more properly called the "Alligator Shack" (or more simply the "Gator Shack").
- Viceroy states that he and McFist had to take two canoes and a fan boat to get to the shack.
- Catfish seems to be a regular customer at the Shack.
